About
The Village
Sandpiper Village is a single family home development on the beautiful Central Oregon coast. The plat of the first phase of Sandpiper Village was recorded in 1968, and sales in the third (final) phase started in 1980. The Sandpiper Village location on the west side of Highway 101 provides almost every lot with a view of the Pacific Ocean, with lots strategically staggered from neighboring lot to preserve views. Trees and lakes add to the natural beauty and underground utilities avoid unsightly overhead lines.
Sandpiper Village is a lovely place to live, with friendly neighbors, ocean views and nature trails that hug private fresh water lakes and pass through a mature forest. Amenities include dedicated public beach access; a private park, trails and hidden lakes for exploring nature, hiking, canoeing or having a picnic. With just a short walk to miles of sandy beach, kite-flying and beach combing are popular pastimes.
All owners are members of the Sandpiper Village Homeowners Association - Sandpiper Villagers, Inc. The HOA holds its annual meeting on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, where all owners are invited to attend. During these membership meetings new directors of the association are elected, and any major events or projects are discussed.
The association is managed by an elected, five person Board of Directors, and a three person Architectural Review Committee whose members are also elected. Adhering to governing documents and CC&Rs, the Sandpiper Village association strives to maintain (and enhance) property values in a safe, friendly and beautiful environment.
Five minutes to the South is Waldport, a small coastal community nestled around Alsea Bay, where one can enjoy farmers' markets, golfing, boating, crabbing and fishing.
To the north, 20 short minutes away is Newport, a vibrant fishing, boating and tourist community. Amenities include the Oregon Coast Aquarium, NOAA and the Mark Hatfield Marine Science Center as well as a community hospital. While visiting, take a stroll along Newport’s Bay street and enjoy local fare, galleries and fishermen's fresh catch. You may also enjoy a harbor cruise on Yaquina Bay or charter for deep sea fishing.
